Farming
Farming has played an important role in our rural parish and our museum reflects this with a collection of old implements such as a pair of sheep shears, a hay hook and a trimmer for chopping mangelwurzels along with badger tongs and gin traps.
We are lucky to have a beautifully decorated, hand stitched, smock from around 1830 that farmers and labourers would have worn. A milk churn, used in the parish around 1900, when milk was delivered to the doorstep by donkey and shay, is also on display.
